the upgrade from previous gen is good, very good. the upgrade from 1st-2nd gen is huge. Very clear recordings. Focusrite Control panel is very useful for the best adjustment ,if you want the perfect clear recording stay at green area, when you go to orange teritotity you get distorted sounds.I really missing the pad button. if you want to record direct in guitars be careful with active pickups or high output humbuckers, you will need DI box for sure. with 8.3-8.5k humbuckers the input gain must be at minimun (7-8 o'clok),no wories for single coils or low output humbuckers. I am very satisfied with headphones sound quality , i mainly use 80 Ohm and 38 Ohm ,if I go with 32 Ohms there is sligty eq distortion, no big deal , but this is a big deal for a friend of mine that have the 2i2 4th gen ,he must use 80 ohm and above for eq perfection .don't lose the power supply...you gonna need it.

An Amazing Audio Interface

First of all, for a budget interface the preamps are so warm and detailed.
The Air Button presents a beautiful clarity and gives you extra colour on your recordings. The Headphone output is very clear and very detailed.
Strongly recommended.

I ordered this for two reasons:
A high-quality headphone amplifier.
Additionally,
As a second recorder alongside the Tascam Portacapture X8, as it is reputed to have an excellent preamp.
Headphone outputs Impedance 11 Ω (versus 2i2 Impedance 50Ω)
I am satisfied with the choice. There is a lot of software, and the 3-month Pro Tools Artist license worked well for me!

Ich habe schon die Scarlett 8i6 3rd gen - die ist sehr gut. Habe mir noch die Scarlett 4i4 4th gen geholt. Die schlechten Rezensionen (nicht hier) habe ich auch gelesen, wollte es aber selbst ausprobieren und kann bestätigen: mit Windows 11 nicht kompatibel, wird nicht gesehen, dazu kommt: das Ding funktioniert mit meiner Gitarre und anderen Geräten nicht (egal wie man die anschließt). Das Signal kommt an, man sieht es an der Anzeige aber es kommt nix raus. Dachte, ein Update würde helfen aber man kann sich (unter Windows 7 wird es erkannt) auf dem Focusrite Server nicht einloggen.
Dass der Sound über USB aus dem Computer gut ist, hilft hier nicht viel. Das Ding muss erst mal funktionieren. Und richtig nervig: kein Ein/Ausschaltknopf. Bleibt wohl doch die gute alte 8i6 3rd gen.
