Simple, sturdy ... but for smaller "backsides" than mine

Hi,

I bought this throne for our rehearsal space, because I am too lazy to bring my other K&M throne. For half the price of my "regular" throne I got a very sturdy and simple to use drum throne with enough height difference for tall and small users.
The only - and purely personal - drawback for me comes from the fact that my "backside" is too big for the seat, so it would be a problem for proper long gigs of 3 x 1 hour sets or so, Having said that: I am 6 foot 3 (about 1,90 m) and weigh 150 kg ... so the throne is definitely sturdy, and by "b*tt" is definitely too big.
Anyone else should definitely consider buying this model here - highly recommended.

Best Drum Throne ever

The K&M 14015 Drum Throne is in good quality and comfort. It features a sturdy construction, adjustable height, and a padded seat for long playing sessions. I appreciate its durability and stability.

Stabil und bequem

Ich benutze den Drum Throne als transportablen Klavierhocker für mein Nord-Stagepiano. Mir ging es um bequemes Sitzen und Stabilität, deswegen waren mir geringes Gewicht und kleines Packmaß nicht ganz so wichtig; trotzdem sollte der Hocker gut zu transportieren sein. Mit einer kleinen Einschränkung (siehe unten) ist dieser Hocker für mich der optimale Kompromiß zwischen Stabilität und Transportabilität.
Als Pianist hasse ich es wie die Pest, wenn Klavierhocker kippeln und wackeln, und außerdem benötige ich eine Sitzfläche, die groß genug und bei langem Sitzen bequem ist. Genau dies bietet mir der K&M-Hocker: Die Sitzfläche ist weder zu hart noch zu weich und bietet guten Halt, so daß ich stundenlang bequem sitzen kann. Sie ist groß genug und hat gleichzeitig einen weichen Rand, der nicht ins Bein schneidet (was bei zu kleinen und zu harten Hockern gern der Fall ist).
Außerdem schwöre ich grundsätzlich auf K&M-Produkte, und zwar nicht nur wegen der exzellenten Materialien (kein Asien-Stinkplastik, Messingschrauben statt Alu!) und der grundsoliden Verarbeitung, sondern vor allem wegen der nachkaufbaren Ersatzteile, wenn doch mal eine Schraube abhanden kommt. Das alles ist auf lange Sicht den höheren Preis allemal wert!
Das einzige kleine Manko ist, daß man die Schraube, die den Sitz auf dem Rohr fixiert, ab und an nachziehen muß, da sie sich in Aktion doch ein kleines bißchen löst. Diese Schraube ist meines Erachtens etwas zu klein dimensioniert, und deshalb gibt's in puncto Stabilität einen Stern Abzug.
Der Hocker ist bei mir seit gut vier Jahren im Dauereinsatz im Studio und auf Tour und hat sich voll bezahlt gemacht.
