I was looking for a single clarinet case with the smallest footprint to go in my backpack with all the other necessary odds and ends one needs on a gig! The Protection Micro Zip Case does the job perfectly! There is not much storage space and I do not use the detachable carrying strap - but these were not considerations. The exterior is hard wearing - I have had the case for a few months with no signs of scuffs or scratches. I had originally considered a pouchette style case but I feel the Protec will be more serviceable.
