Just what I was looking for

I hesitated to buy an instrument like this online, I prefer to "feel" it, hear it and to hold it before deciding. The sample sound however made me decide to take the risk and I haven't regret it. It helps create the prefect sound environment for my healing sessions, this was an excellent buy. Robust quality, perfect sound, well wrapped for shipment, so well done.

Expensive option, but well made and hardwearing.

These ocean drums are well made and hardwearing. I've seen most of the sizes at different schools I work at, and the quality is consistent.

The last ocean drum I had was made using natural goat skin, and while this gave the drum a warmer sound (when striking the drum) that I preferred, it also meant that the sound/tension wasn't consistent as the skin attracted moisture (which resulted in rusty deposits from the metal balls).

I haven't had these issues with this ocean drum, but it did cost three times as much as my last one.

The fish design makes a nice touch, and supports my use of the name 'ocean drum' in my schools and special needs work.

Nice quality instrument for music lessons or fun!

Ich arbeite in einer Sonderschule mit behinderten Menschen. Hier läuft viel über Musik und Klänge. Die Oceandrum ermöglicht neue Klang- und Vibrationserfahrungen, wenn ich die Kugeln mit sanften Bewegungen auf den Fellen hin- und her bewege. Es ist dabei möglich, den Rahmen zusammen mit dem Schüler zu führen oder ihn alleine zu bewegen. Schließt man die Augen, so hat man wirklich den Eindruck, dass man am Strand steht und die Wellen um einen herum fließen, vor allem, wenn die Oceandrum über dem Kopf positioniert ist.

Eine weitere tolle Klangfarbe ergibt sich, wenn ich die Oceandrum wie eine Rahmentrommel anschlage. Dazu verwende ich die Finger und Hände oder den mitgelieferten Schlägel.

Auch im Studio habe ich den Wellenklang der Oceandrum schon oft brauchen können, hier dient er mir als füllender Flächeneffekt. Ich besitze auch das größere Modell und bin mit beiden hinsichtlich Klang, Verarbeitung und Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sehr zufrieden. Meine Empfehlung!
