I bought these for my Stagg Electric Upright Bass. The bass is new, but I like to have a set of backup strings just in case. I would not have bought them yet as I don't see the originals breaking anytime soon, but they are not widely sold. I was only able to find one listing other than Thomann anywhere. No one seems to carry them and traditional DB strings can get ridiculously expensive. Thomann saves the day!! These strings are very similar in feel to my D'Addario Chrome Flatwounds that are on my fretless bass. Hopefully, two sets of these should last me a very, very long time.

These strings are pretty good for the money. There are strings out there that sound better. But these are at an attractive price point and more importantly they actually fit my electric upright bass.
