The Tama rubber beater head have unique qualities, like the bass drum timbre you get and adjust possibilities.
The CB90 beaters stand out for their ability to be replaced easily without the need to purchase a whole new batter. In this way, it is possible to switch between rubber, felt and wood beaters, avoiding unnecessary costs.
As for timbre, this batter represent an important role for drummers seeking for a more accented kick.
In this way, unlike the softer sound of the felter beater and wood beaters that besides shortening the useful life of the bass drum head, it have a drier timbre, the sonority produced by the rubber beater (not plastic, as many manufacturers use) is unique and excellent, being commonly assigned to styles such as Rock or Heavy Metal.
It has a great attack and sustain, being versatile for studio and shows.
With regard to the adjustment of the part, it is possible to rotate the head beater for a better contact at the time of the impact with the bass drum head.
However, this adjustment should be made carefully, otherwise it may spin, causing damage to bass drum head and shortening the useful life of the beater head.

Estava a tocar com os meus beaters de feltro em peles mesh e reparava que gastavão rapido pois havia mais atrito, mudei para os de borracha e boom...resolvido.

These beaters are the best in my opionion. I think Tama really hit a home run with these detachable beaters. It's efficient as you are not required to be a new metal rod each time you need a new beater. I have the entire range - felt, rubber and wood. My favourite, which is an entirely subjective and application dependant (you wouldn't use the wooden one at a jazz gig) is the wood. The wooden one has lots of attack and not as much sustain. As I use 2 mics this one is perfect for the inside mic and I use the outside mic to balance my sustain. If I was only using one mic I would use either the felt whic has the most balanced tonality or the rubber if I wanted a more slappy quality to the bass drum. The tonality of the rubber beater is in between the felt and wood. The rubber attack has a slightly different quality to the wood and to my ear sounds slightly slappier whereas the wood is very aggressive.

I fitted this to a one year old Iron Cobra and it kept moving and rotating on the beater shaft during shows.
The big problem with this was I was playing support to another band using another drummers kick drum which damaged his bass drum head. Not cool.
The sound was great with plenty of attack as you would want from a beater like this but I cant afford to have a piece of gear as important as this letting me down.

Such a pity as I love everything Tama. I play starclasic maple and use they're hard wear. I have lost trust in this part though. The build quality is not good. Nothing like the Pearl Eliminator or some of the other top pedals.
