4 Reverbs? and each with Mash? Are you kidding me?

Since forever I always had two reverbs on my pedalboard. A dedicated long (church-like) reverb only for intros and slow songs and a short (club-like) reverb for rhythmical pieces where long reverb tend to make a mess. I had two reverbs so I wouldn't have to bend down to change the reverb length all the time. But still, I had to switch this one reverb off, and turn on the other one so they wouldn't interfere. So, I instead of bending down was constantly tap dancing :-D

Now with the HOF 2X4 I have not two, but four reverbs (actually 8 since it's two banks of four) at any given time and I don't have to tap dance, since you press one and the other goes off. And all of them with Mash feature, meaning you can go absolutely crazy with the editor software and come up with very interesting ideas.
Despite being a quite good chunk of metal, this pedal has found it's special place on my pedalboard.
Oh, did I say it's red? Very, very red. Love this thing

E' stato raggiunto il massimo!!!!

Prima di questo, ho posseduto in progressione i suoi due "fratelli minori" ovvero l'Hall Of Fame e l'Hall Of Fame 2 (entrambe versioni complete), il primo, suono stupendo però mancava lo shimmer, il secondo, stupendo come il primo con l'aggiunta dello shimmer, però per me un pò scomodo, visto che necessito di più tipi di riverbero da tenere a portata di piede, ed ecco ora arrivati al top! con questo nuovo arrivato la TC Electronic ha fatto centro! ha tutto quello che un musicista possa desiderare da un riverbero!!! fino a 8 preset memorizzabili a portata di piede, fino a 6 toneprint!!!, Kill dry selezionabile (ovvero far suonare solo la coda dei riverberi, come nel g-system) ed addirittura, come "ciliegina sulla torta" anche uno switch che permette di impostare il pedale sia in modalità True Bypass o Bufferizzato, quest'ultimo permette di non tagliare il riverbero di netto in caso di disattivazione dell'effetto durante il playing, hanno pensato davvero a tutto!!!! quindi se avete spazio a sufficienza in pedaliera come me e volete un riverbero completo a tal punto da farvi quasi il caffè, compratelo senza battere ciglio!!! soddisfazione assicurata!!!

Schönes (aber großes) Reverb

Das Hall of Fame 2x4 ist seinen kleineren Vorgängern klar überlegen, nicht zuletzt durch seine 6 (!) Toneprint-Slots. Das Gehäuse ist superstabil, aber eben auch recht groß. Der Vorteil daran sind allerdings die Potiknöpfe, da gibts keine Fummelei mit den Fingerspitzen, das macht richtig Spaß. Das Laden von Toneprints ist zumindest unter Win10 kein Problem, unter Win7 ging es nicht, weil angeblich eine dll-Datei fehlt, die aber da ist. Sei's drum. Den LoFi-Modus hätte man m.E. weglassen können, keine Ahnung, wer den braucht, den Ambi-Modus mag ich auch nicht sooo sehr, aber das ist halt geschmacksabhängig, man kann sich ja per Toneprint alles mögliche basteln und hinbiegen, die übrigen voreingestellten Modi sind aber gut.

Die 8 Speicherplätze sind m.E. ausreichend, die Speicherbedienung über den Mini-Kippschalter ist zwar zunächst ungewohnt, aber schon ok.

Ach ja, die MASH-Funktion auf allen 4 Fußtastern: Ist ganz nett, aber m.E. ein bißchen Spielerei, wichtig dagegen ist das Pre-Delay-Poti, das kann den Sound etwas "aufräumen".

Ich nutze das Gerät auschließlich im Heimstudiobetrieb und kann es für diesen Zweck ausdrücklich empfehlen, es gefällt mir da auf jeden Fall besser als die Boss-Reverbs 5 od. 6.
