The Industry Standard Eartube

There are a wide range of eartube assemblies available at knock down prices, particularly on internet auction websites. However, if you, like me, often work with TV presenters who supply their own earpieces, beware these cheap alternatives.

I have found that the majority of cut price alternatives to this Telex model don't properly mate with moulded earpieces, and are incompatible.

In the UK at least, every presenter's moulded earpiece I have ever come across, has been designed to be used with the Telex Eartube system. You can therefore be sure that by investing in these eartubes, you will have the correct kit when working with a presenter who supplies their own earpiece.

These Eartubes are robust. They have a quality feel to them. They aren't supplied in a storage case ready to withstand life on location, however. I recommend investing in a box for a couple of pounds, to keep them in.
