Schnell wurde klar, dass nur 12er die für mich markanten Frequenzen bringen können, daher bestellte ich diesen hier und auch den günstigen the box PA M 12 ECO MKII Monitor.
Daneben hatte ich von anderer Seite her noch weitere Monitore zur Verfügung.
Für meinen -sehr speziellen Bedarf- schied dieser the box pro Mon P12 schon zu Beginn des Vergleiches aus. Zwar hatte er keine Probleme mit dem Impuls aus dem Bassverstärker, doch egal, wie ich den EQ verbogen hatte, er schnitt deutlich schlechter ab als die anderen Probanten. Sogar der deutlich günstigere und leistungsmäßig schwächere "the box PA M 12 ECO MKII" war besser.

Diese Bewertung ist unbedingt vor dem Hintergrund meiner sehr speziellen Anforderung zu betrachten, doch vielleicht nützt sie anderen Bassisten, die ähnliche Ideen haben :-)

Plus : great sound (lots of detail, fat bass with a bit of eq), horizontal spread impressive, plenty of volume, look really cool on stage without disturbing the audience view.
Minus : external finish a bit fragile - buy the covers and you're ok. Covers seem a bit flimsy but do the job as long as you don't throw everything in the back of the van.
