Boss just took a classic and turned it into a modern must have. I have been able to dial in some great tones with this pedal. Very satisfied with the performance of this product.
I'm using this pedal with my Ibanez guitar (S7721PB-SBF) plugged into guitar amp head Marshall JVM410H and the output is amazing, The sound is clear, distorsion level is perfect and yes, it Djent.

Great distortion but...
The pedal really lets you get punchy aggressive distortion which is very exciting if you're into metal music. And it's perfect for lighter rock music. I think this pedal will be very useful for live performances, rehearsals or simple practice at home. The only thing for which it is not 100% suitable is for recording guitar in the studio. The pedal is made to be plug and play and has a factory tuned sound, which greatly reduces the flexibility of its EQ. I really liked her distortion character, but I didn't manage to place her well in the mix. I did not have enough brightness in the sound. Maybe it will fit perfectly in your mix.

Better than DS1 but...
...i don't dig the sound of it. It's kind of sterile.

Amazing distortion!
This is a very high clear distortion. The sound is not muffled at all.
Also very low noise. Even when I increase the gain, it still keeps low noise.
You can shape the distortion very easily using the high, low and drive pots.
Definitely one of the best distortion pedals.
