NOT GOOD.
Guys, I know I know... but I've honestly bought this because of all the "name" Gibraltar has.. and I will state the flaws I found out so far:
- I CANNOT detach the seat from the tripod... first time I put it in, played for a couple hours... then went to disassemble and I just can't take it off..even if I unscrew the two screws all the way.
I've tried to put it upside down and pull as hard as I could (I'm a big guy!) and the thing just won't come of. So, I basically have to take it assembled to the concerts now.
- If I rotate my torso while playing, I can feel it move a little, I weight 87Kgs but I think it has to do with the plastic washers that every leg has.
- that vynil patch in the center that "prevents you from sliding" in my opinion is just there to make your "perineum" area uncomfortable.. after a few hours of rehearsal, you can start to feel that thing underneath you because it's harder than the rest of the fabric of the seat.
So, to help my bros....my word of advise is, don't buy it. considering the price, there are better options. It's not a BAD throne, but has too many flaws for the price.

VERY comfortable
I prefer to use drum stools in a studio context, so I need stability and comfort for long periods, plus the ease of being able to jump out of my chair at moment's notice to play instruments, tweak stuff... This is perfect, it's quite wide and the contours for your legs are really thoughtfully designed.
At first I wasn't a fan of the mesh fabric top (it is tricky to clean), but now with the summer getting warmer it's been great for longer sessions. I can see it being super useful for sweaty gross drummers.
The only thing I'm not so much a fan of - it does swivel pretty easily, the clamp comes loose a little too easily. But that's nothing a little loctite won't fix.

Stable, easily adjustable and seems to be durable (time will tell).
Has some heft to it, so it definitely stay where you want while playing.
The top is mesh so it doesn't get as sweaty, which is a huge plus.

It's large, sturdy, utterly confortable. Best drum throne ever. I have, as i'm old, few sciatica problem: gone since I play on this stool. Highly reccomended.

Great throne for any drummer
I bought this throne about 2 months ago, because my old throne wasn't steady, and my back was hurting after 3 hours of rehearsal.
Pros:
I've been using the Gibraltar throne ever since I got it. It is perfect for my taste. It is perfectly steady, no movement can be noticed when you sit on it. It holds like a rock. And my back is ever so grateful.
It is as huge as my snare, and it is very comfortable. I feel like a king in the saddle. I've tried raising it to the highest position possible, still holds like a rock. I'm very proud of this purchase.
Cons:
Honestly, I can't find anything faulty with this throne.
In ONE SENTENCE: I love it, worth every cent :)
