Highly recommended upgrade from push/pull pot
ApryghnatoR 03.03.2022
I use a pot switch in my guitar as a burner switch to drop volume and tone pots out of the connection for boost in volume and treble, which is currently the "default" position. This way I can dial in lower volume, or darker tone as "secondary" tone and switch to it in push up the pot, and back to full-on sound on next.

Previously I used push/pull pot, which isn't bad, but compared to push/push, the use is kinda awkward. Since pushing is simpler than pulling, operation is faster and more fluent. Also pulling on the previous push/pull pot, it always resonated with the guitar making the strings ring out which sounded bad especially with distortion, this isn't completelly free of such, but it's not as prevalent.

The pot isn't loose, yet neither is it the stiffest pot I've had, it's nice midway. Slow swells can be done with pinky finger, but if you are looking for pot that you can flick from 0-10 in an instant, this likely won't work for you. The pot seems to stay in its position well and doesn't change accidentaly unless you really hit it. I don't need to be checking the volume and occasionally noticing it has gone down on it's own. I think certain level of stiffness is required to keep the position of the pot when pushing the switch in hurry. I'd say it feels higher grade than looser pots.

The pot and switch seem sturdy. I can't say for durability as of yet, but will update if I notice degredation. If this breaks after resonable amount of time, I'd probably get new one. Only downside I have with this, and pretty much all pot switches I've encountered, is the small holes in the terminals and tight spacing on the switch part which is kinda annoying when you are soldering the connections, hence one star off in quality. Getting more than 1 wire into the terminal is huge struggle, if not impossible with average gauge wire.

Yes!

YES, this is a good pot.
The quality and the sound of the pot I would say is about on the level with CTS. (IMO) The action and roll-off curve is the same as standard CTS.
The switching works nicely. I use it on an Explorer.
It survived my soldering technique.

It is true that the knob sits a little higher on the guitar even in the lower position. You can try and force the plastic knob a bit further down. The high position of the switch puts the knob about 5-10mm higher from the guitar body. It's not that bad! Try it.
I love the push push switching.

Attention: As someone said it before. Don't pull the knob of the switch when the switch is in the low position. First press the switch to the up position and then take the knob off.

Poor pot...
Mikkalys 12.06.2018
Bought this in Thomann, when I was there in Germany... I told the guitar tech which guitar I own (Schecter KM7) and that I need a new push push pot for it.... The guy gave me a wrong one which did not fit in the guitar at home... I had to drill a bigger whole.

This pot died in a year or two. Bad quality, do not buy this brand.

Works very well - almost perfectly

I used this with a set of 4-wire humbuckers as a coil split. They were wired with a 500k pot of the same shaft diameter by default.

Pros:
Quite easy to solder to the tabs
Reliable (the pot didn't gradually get noisy)

Cons:
The fully extended pot sticks out quite far from the body of the guitar
The locking washer is easily shaken loose.
Relatively expensive

Overall it's a good solution if you want to be able to activate the switch without having to grip the pot itself (as with a push-pull equivalent). It's fairly pricey for what it is, but there are few options for push-push pots.
