Gives me more freedom than the desk clamp

Even though the multi-mount pole comes with a clamp to attach it to the side of your desk, I mostly use it with this weighted base instead of a clamp. Weighted base is far easier to relocate on your desk. Even if you're using flex arms, which I do.
The problem is that you need to unscrew 3 screws to take the clamp off and attach a weighted base. This is a bit time consuming, especially if you want to use it in multiple locations.
Once the base is attached it gives you more freedom. It's very heavy and feels secure. It's soft on the bottom so it won't scratch your desk. It won't move either.

pro:
- gives you the freedom to reposition your camera or light
- excellent build quality

con:
- it can only be used with the multi-mount unit
- it takes some time to attach or detach it

Habe mit dem Fuß die große Version des Elgato Key Light erweitert, die zwar mit einer Montagesäule kommt, aber mit Tischklemme.

Also Tischklemme ab und Standfuss angeschraubt (3 Schrauben), geht super einfach. Der Standfuß ist schwer und hat einen relativ großen Durchmesser, so dass auch bei weit geneigtem Licht alles stabil steht. Die Schaumstoff-Polsterung am Boden verhindert Kratzer auf dem Tisch. Für die Anwendung also super, besonders wenn man sich keinen C-Stand ins Homeoffice stellen möchte.

Base utilisée avec le monopod Elgato Multi Mount pour brancher en même temps ( bien sur avec les accessoires adéquats ) : une webcam sur pince, un appareil photo de 900 g en position centrale, un microphone de 350 g sur pince , un enregistreur de son 200 g sur pince, pas de souci de stabilité.
Le poids de la base 4.8 kg est suffisant pour beaucoup d'usage.
