A basic skiff

This skiff is basic but very decent build. The power switch on the back is very solid just like the power socket. The power supply offers enough power to easily fill up the 2 rows with modules.

The wooden side panels are attached with screws and can easily be removed or replaced with differed side panel. This allows you to add panels that place the skiff in a standing position or pannels that can hold a second skiff. This makes it ideal for expanding your setup (by adding a second skiff) without having to buy a whole new case.

I would recommend this product especially for starters who plan to grow there modular system.

All the pre wired skiff cases in this range are excellent.
Well made and robust.
The capacity of the electronics fitted is high, meaning that although you should always be cautious you would need to be putting some pretty heavy modules into it to exceed the spec of the case.
Ideal for newcomers not ready to build their own and a trouble free option for all users.
I had mine sent to the U.K. with no issues. A lot cheaper than U.K. suppliers too.
Excellent all round.

Well built and good power supply. Would highly recommend. Its very shallow so be sure to check your modules will fit!

Solides Skiff-Case

Bevor ich zur Bewertung komme, erstmal die Info dass das Bild hier im Shop nicht mehr ganz der aktuellen Fassung entspricht: Das Case ist bis auf die Rack-Rails komplett schwarz, die Spray-Optik gibt es nicht mehr. Auch wurde die PSU verbessert, statt Pinleisten gibt es da jetzt normale Sockets, und Ein/Aus-Schalter sowie Power Connector auf der Oberseite und Rueckseite.

Das Case selbst ist sehr solide gebaut, ohne aber zu schwer zu sein. Die Seitenteile lassen sich auf verschiedene Weisen anbauen, sodass man entweder die Plastik- oder Holzoptik nach aussen hat, oder sie auch ganz gegen andere von Erica Synths oder Marke Eigenbau austauschen kann. Das Case hat keine unangenehmen Grate und ist wirklich sehr gut verarbeitet.

In meinem Case wohnt jetzt (u.a.) ein Moog DFAM, einen der Power Connectors nach Aussen habe ich zum 1/4"-Lineausgang umfunktioniert und den Schalter entfernt, was problemlos ging. Das empfinde ich auch durchaus als Plus. Etwas aufpassen muss man mit der Modultiefe, da ist nicht generell die volle Case-Tiefe nutzbar, da die PSU im Weg ist (hier im Shop sind 50mm angegeben, das Case ist aber eigentlich 56mm tief und bis zu den Sockets sind es 40mm). Bisher liess sich das aber durch Verbesserung meines Kabel-Routings loesen (die Flachbandkabel tragen halt auf den Sockets auch noch etwas auf), sodass das noch nicht wirklich ein Problem war. Positiv sind weiterhin noch die Lueftungsschlitze anzumerken, damit wird's den feinen Modulen im Case auch nicht zu warm :-)

Insgesamt alle Daumen hoch, exzellente Verarbeitung und Nutzbarkeit 👍
