Brighter alternative to a Greenback?

This speaker is a little more "hi-fi" than I expected. It has quite a bit more high frequency response than a Greenback and has brightened up an old EF86 amp nicely. I had planned to pair it with a Vintage 30 in a 2 x 12 but it's lower sensitivity means it isn't a perfect match. At 95dB it gets overpowered by the V30 (100dB I think). Still, it does add some highs to the cab.

Another nice feature of this speaker is its light weight. At around 1.83kg it is less than half the weight of a V30. If you paired it with a darker, similar powered/ weight speaker in a 2 x 12 combo you could potentially reduce the weight by about 4-5kg and slightly reduce the volume too.

I haven't compared this to a vintage Jensen because I don't have one, but I'm happy with this one. Excellent price, light weight, good build quality, well packaged. And a good tone that would work with most amps in my opinion - as long as you're looking for a bright sound.

Absolument rien à redire

Après moultes recherches sur internet, ne disposant pas à La Réunion d'un choix varié de haut-parleurs, je me suis fixé sur la marque Jensen et ce modèle en particulier : tout simplement magnifique. Un son chaud, velouté, même à bas volume, qui s'accorde parfaitement au cabinet Palmer utilisé et avec mon ampli H&K Tubemeister Deluxe 20.
Superbe !!!

Es un altavoz para los amantes del sonido vintage. A primera vista se ve que tiene un acabado excelente y muy ligero para los vatios que administra. Tiene unos grave muy redondos y muy definidos, y unos medios y agudos lo suficientemente marcados como para darle mucha definición y presencia al sonido. Tiene un crujido muy natural cuando llevamos el amplificador al límite, da la sensación de estar sonando como muchas de las bandas que grabaron durante los '60 y '70. Todo un acierto en relación calidad precio y nada que envidiar a los famosos greenbacks. Es el complemento perfecto para montar un 2x12 junto con el P12N y disfrutar del sonido cálido que proporcionan estos jensen.

Ottimo cono

Ho dovuto sostituire a malincuore il cono da un Teisco degli anni 60'.
Nonostante il mio scetticismo ha superato ogni aspettativa.
Puliti limpidi e magna bene i pedali.
Consigliatissimo se si è alla ricerca di un suono "vintage".
