All in all a great guitar

This guitar sounds amazing. Very smooth sounding. You can get great rock tones, but I think it really shines when playing blues, soul or jazz. Great balance between the pickups. You can see that some thought have gone into this guitar. The pickups are on the brighter side, but if you want a more classic Les Paul sound you can just turn down the tone a notch. I actually think the brightness makes this guitar more versatile. Some here have had problems with the volume pots, but I think they work just fine. I like the fact that you don't have roll them back all the way to get a noticeable difference. Once you get used to them, I think they are great. It's nice to have treble bleeds installed stock. This is a feature I use on all my guitars. The neck is very comfortable. The satin finish feels so much better than the regular lacquer finishes. The set-up out of the box was not perfect, but more than acceptable. The low e-string was a little bit high in the nut but nothing major. The intonation a string height were almost spot on. The guitar stays in tune. I added some nut sauce on the nut and bridge just because. I do this on all my guitars. Of course you can get it out of tune if you want to, but that is true of all guitars that don't have a locking tremolo system. Some minor flaws in the finish though. The rounding of the edges of the fretboard is not perfect. You can see some scratches and some discoloring. At this price, I think these flaws can be considered minor and more than acceptable. If this is major issue for you, then I'm afraid you have to pay three times more to be satisfied. I also own a Harley Benton SC-450Plus. Although I'm perfectly happy with that guitar, this guitar is in a whole other league. I think you can very well compare this guitar to many guitars in the 1000 - 1500 euro price range.

Valmistusmaa Indonesia mutta aivan tip-top laatua, ei mitään moitteen sijaan. Säädötkin tehtaan jäljiltä kuosissa.
Potikoiden valmistusmaa Korea, ei siis Kiina krääsää.

Erittäin hyvä vaihtoehto Les Pauliksi, moderni kaulaliitos kiittää ylempää soittaessa. Aavistuksen ohuempi runko myös ergonomisempi kuin esikuvassa. Tasapainoiset PAF mikit toistaa tasaisesti ja mallikkaasti.

Sitten tietoa mikä olisi aina oltava myyntispekseissä:
- bodyn paksuus reunoilta n 46mm
- kaulan leveys 1. nauha/nut 43,43mm, 12. nauha n 53mm
- kaulan paksuus 1. nauha n 22mm, 12. nauha n 44mm
- kaulamikin DC output 7.55k, tallamikki 7.81k

Kaulan leveys oli yllätys koska tilattaessa oli vain infona 43mm. Tilauksen jälkeen on tullut tarkennusta 1,71" (43,43mm). Tämä lähes puoli milliä on paljon kaulassa!

Painokin on siedettävä, arvioisin alle 4kg, olisiko siellä 3,8 kg nurkilla.

Aavistuksen kirkas soundinen esikuvaan tottuneelle, ehkä ebony otelaudasta johtuen mutta tone potikalla saa kuriin.

Kaikin puolin hyvä kitara jos hieman leveämpi kaula ei haittaa.

Decent solid body guitar. It doesn't sound any close to a Les Paul but it has a fine bright sound of it's own (in case you'd like a bright sounding Les Paul)

Features are fine, keeps well in tune, satin neck painting is a nice touch. But easthetics and built quality are the weakest points here:

Jack nut went off a few days after playing it.

Knobs aren't well set in the body, but the worse thing is how they behave: from, say, 10 to 3 nothing happens so you'll find your sweet spot between 3 and 0. Forget a proper swell.

Neck binding was full of black stains probably because filling material ran out between the wood and the binding. Impossible to remove.

Right out of the box some strings were rusty and there was a noticeable ding on the side of the body

Setup right out of the box was kinda terrible; even if the nut was cut a bit high and some frets were buzzing...

So what to say here? I sent it back cause nothing felt "safe" with this instrument, (this is my 1st return to Thomann in more than 15 years)

Having a few guitars, some exellent ones and some trashy ones I'd say that this one fits well the price range. If price is the main factor of your purchase then this one could be ok
