Super useful mounting solution

Solid, and well made product, typical of Manfrotto. Attaches to a super clamp with no play, and provides a very secure mounting option for cameras, lights and other objects.

Used in this case for mounting a DSLR to a C-Stand as a rolling film rig using a Superclamp and Ballhead. Solution has worked really well, and supports the weight of my full size DSLR and lens with no wobble or flex.

I really like Manfrotto products as a great alternative to some of the ultra expensive brands but with really good quality and build standards. I've used them for years and always found them dependable and well made, not innovative, but get the job done.

Arrived in the UK in great time as always from Thomann.

Must have for lights and backdrops

This extension arm is so helpfull with Manfrotto superclamps. Before i use only superclamp and spigot to hold up lights. It works but positioning of light is limited. This piece of gear give you obout 20cm more room for light - especially good for light with yoke.

Also you got free spigot which is like half of extension arm price. So it is economic too :) (I bought four of them).

Another useful Manfrotto option

This device might help you if you don't need the 2-piece Magic Arm, as you can still mount a camera or microphone with the Manfrotto Super Clamp. It attaches to the standard spigot. It also includes the double-ended adapter with a 1/4" camera thread on one end and 3/8" mic thread on the other and it's a good deal getting another one of these with the extension arm for this price.
With all products by this manufacturer there's no problem with design or quality.

Genial für Studio-Mikro

Zusammen mit einer Super Clamp habe ich mit diesem Arm ein Croßmembran-Mikro an einer Klemm-Deckenstütze (aus dem Baumarkt) befestigt. Sehr stabile und trotzdem elegante Lösung, bei der vor allem keine Stativfüße im Weg stehen (staubsaugen!) und auch schnell auf andere Höhe eingestellt bzw. im Raum anders plaziert. Das ganze setzt natürlich eine nicht zu hohe Decke voraus (die max. Höhe der Deckenstütze ist glaube ich 2,60 oder so). Die Länge des Arms reicht dabei in der Praxis vollkommen aus.

Alternativ kann man diesen Arm auch an einem Galgenstativ für ein 2. Mikro (Gitarre) befestigen. Auch da ist er nach meiner Erfahrung lang genug.

Insgesamt ein genial einfaches Produkt, das erstaunlich stabil ist.
