3 Oscillators, each with controls for pitch, FM, shape (sine, triangle, sawtooth, square) and waveshaper/wavefolder
Noise generator
4-Channel mixer
Adjustable preamplifier with overdrive circuit for external signal sources (gain: x30)
LFO with two waveforms (triangle and square) and wide frequency range (41s - 500Hz)
Multimode filter (low-pass, band-pass, high-pass) with adjustable frequency and resonance, plus 2 CV inputs with attenuators, 2 ADSR envelopes
Dynamics controller, switchable between VCA and lowpass gate, with adjustable frequency/bias, resonance and decay phase
Analog delay with adjustable delay time, feedback and wet/dry mix
Built-in MIDI-to-CV/Gate interface
Further features: Arpeggiator, random sequencer, clock divider, clock generator with tap tempo, sample & hold, 2-channel mixer

Now I wanted the Voltage lab but I missed out on it. This synth is in my opinion the new Easel, but extending it. 3 vco's each with it's dedicated wavefolder, a Buchlaish dynamics section and I could just go on and on. This is a beast and should not be compared to any of the semimodulars out there. working on it feels less like a machine but more like tampering with a living, breathing organism. If you are looking for something to do a simple pop song you don't need the Taiga although it will certainly do the job, but this synth will make you travel through time and space and it will introduce to you a spectrum of colors you have not heard before. If you are into serious modular synthesis this one is for you. If you want ready made presets, get plaits.

Grandioser Sound, aber vermutlich nichts für Synth-Einsteiger

Taiga ist ein unglaublich gut klingender, vielseitiger und inspirierender Synthesizer. Allerdings Sind hier so viele Features, die man erstmal kennen muss zusammen mit einem undurchsichtigen Layout, gerade in der Patchbay, den Tastenkombinationen des MIDI-Moduls und der Normalisierungen, dass es für einen Anfänger sicherlich frustrierend werden kann Taiga gezielt einzustellen.

Wer allerdings schon Erfahrung mit Synthesizern hat und einen tollen Monosynth sucht, der einen immer wieder überrascht, der sehr physikalisch bis klassisch additiv oder subtraktiv aber doch eigen klingen kann, der ist hier bestens beraten.
Im Eurorack spielt Taiga auch super mit, man sollte aber darauf achten, dass die Stromversorgung kräftig genug ist.

Der eine, wirklich negative Punkt ist, dass Taiga primär auf Verwendung mit MIDI ausgelegt ist, man aber nur den mini TRS Eingang an der front hat. Da hätte ich am Gehäuse gerne mehr gesehen. Außerdem sind die tunig ranges der VCOs wenn sie vom MIDI abgekoppelt sind gigantisch groß und damit schwer zu stimmen.

Alles in allem ist es aber eine klare kauf Empfehlung, für den Monosynth suchenden Synth-Kenner.

C'était un beau synthé

La qualité de fabrication est très bonne, les boutons agréables au toucher et assez durs pour ne pas se dérégler trop facilement, heureusement car tout est très compact.
Obligé d'utiliser l'adaptateur midi qui est fournit ; avec un autre adaptateur (beatstep pro, black sequencer), ça ne fonctionne pas. Je n'ai pas pu utiliser un câble mini jack stéréo comme je fait d'habitude entre 2 machines en midi mini jack. Je me demande si la connexion est inversée.

Malgré tout je ne suis pas satisfait par le point le plus important, le son, le timbre, le grain. C'est plat, on pourrait dire caoutchouteux... Alors c'est vraiment très personnel, ça peut plaire à d'autres.
Bien sur avec toutes les possibilités de modulation on peut tordre le son autant qu'on veut mais ce n'est pas suffisant, les oscillateurs n'ont pas de grain, le filtre est mou. Par contre il descend très bien dans le grave. Et il va faire des percussions intéressantes mais je ne l'ai pas pris dans ce but.
Ce manque de grain peut être un avantage pour l'insérer dans le mix.

Pourtant j'ai un filtre lopass de chez Pittsburg en eurorack et je l'adore !

En tous cas il m'a permis de me rendre compte à quel point mes autres synthés ont un son excellent (Grandmother DFAM, Brenso, Synchrodyne) et c'est peut être pour ça que je suis aussi exigent.

J'espère sincèrement pour Pittsburgh Modular et tous les efforts qu'ils ont fait que ce synthé va plaire à beaucoup de monde mais pour moi c'est un retour.
