Reversible Slide

This slide is the patented solution to an old problem. How do I combine slide playing with normal fingering technique? The ring of the slide is firmly attached to the finger, while the slide section can be very easily turned into the desired position with the thumb. This way, the slide finger can become the grip finger again while playing!

Fine for some, excellent for others

This unit comes with a couple of different size "rings" to use inside the capo which is good since we all have different sized fingers. The use of this capo takes some time to get used to and it demands a bit of finger dexterity to turn the capo on or off the palm-side of your finger. I haven't used much this capo because by now it has not gotten less effortless to use than grapping a traditional capo off a capo-holder and putting it back. Besides, the sound of Axys Universal is a bit thinner/weaker than using a "whole sized" bronze slide.

But it is nice to have one more option in your toolbox :)

Would I recommend it? Yes, if you're into this kind of tool. It does take practice of its own to get used to using it.

Tarvitsen joissain kappaleissa välillä slidea ja normaalia sormilla soittamista. Tavallisen putken kanssa tämä oli vaikeaa. Harkitsin pitkään tämän ostamista koska hinta tuntui kovalta näinkin yksinkertaisesta laitteesta, mutta ostettuani sen en ole päivääkään katunut sijoitustani. Vaihtaminen sormin soitosta slide-soittoon käy salamannopeasti ja kun slidea ei käytä se ei haittaa soittamista.

This is a great tool. It is a little heavy, so it needs a little time to adjust the technique and can be dangerous for RSI, but that heaviness gives it the real sound! And the swilling is just perfectly fluid and gives a great palette of sounds. I don't play all the time with it, but as soon as I might want a slide, I put this on!

Good in theory but...

Not being a heavy slide player myself with only the od passage here and there, I though this was the perfect slide to allow me to move from chord playing into a slide solo and back. However, the fact is I never could get used to move the slide to the back of my ring finger quickly enough and end up messing my playing.

Good in theory and I'm sure many people will have sort it out, but for me it didn't work.
