Great for hanging small movers
This is a great quality overhang hook. I've moved to these for my small moving head lights where previously I've used half-couplers (because at the time the equivalent Doughty product to this was excessively priced). Much easier to get the weight off your arm when rigging from up a ladder by being able to hook the fixture over the lighting bar before needing to deal with the positioning a tightening processes.
Good for movers as the wide hanging width and positive clamp and grip around the bar gives great lateral stability compared to a typical lighting hook clamp which just doesn't grip the bar securely enough for something that is wiggling around.
I will be using these in future for this and similar applications where a firm lateral grip is required, e.g. mirror balls. (I'm staying with traditional Doughty hook-clamps for non-movers which are cheaper when you need a large number of them).

SImply brilliant
Having been a convert to O clamps for some time, I was delighted to find and use these. Heavy duty, they make attaching lights to our truss really quick and easy. Brilliant!

Very Good Trigger Coupler!!
We're used to using the Doughty original version of these (at twice the price!) , but took a punt on the Global Truss version after a good friend in the production business spoke highly of them.
We bought around 30-40 units to use on some of our moving light hire inventory and you can't moan at all! The simple and ease of use, great design and black finish is ace!
The only real major differences between these and the Doughty more expensive version is the turn thread being tighter and not as smooth (not a massive gripe) and the finish being not quite as hard wearing. For hire use to keep with with fixtures and to send out they're spot on!
For users and hirers who require an excellent clamp at not a lot of dosh these come highly recommended!

Excellent but a small problem
This clamp is excellent. I was afraid tightening it that I would start to crush the truss frame bar! So big and solid and easy to tighten. The only issue I has is I am using them with Stairville MH-z1915 wash beams. The clamps have the slot for the carrier bolt that locks the bolt from turning when you tighten the wing nut. Unfortunately the receiving part of the wash zoom has the same setup so I had to use a series of washers to pass that point.
Also presumably if you buy this, it's for a heavy duty light or mover. If the bracket you attach it to is not very thin, be prepared to have to buy longer bolts as the ones shipped won't suffice.

Does the job
Just a really solid clamp. Much better than a standard hook clamp and for use with moving head I recommend this over using half couplers as its a simple lift onto the truss then tighten. The design of the trigger means it also doesn't damage truss like a traditional hook clamp.

great quality and value
I have bought a number of these and found them to be excellent. My local theatre has converted to the Doughty version (at a much higher cost) but I have found these to be excellent. You might need longer bolts depending on the fixture you are attaching them to but that is the same with any other similar clamp.

Beste haak op de markt op dit moment!
Simpele, makkelijke, sterke haak. Beschadigt je trussen niet, weegt ook niet te veel. Je kan makkelijk je toestellen op je buis hangen en pas na wat schuifwerk alles vast draaien zonder je zorgen te maken dat ze eraf wippen.
Voor mensen die deze haak permanent op hun toestel willen hebben raad ik aan de rondellen te vervangen door een teflon-versie en de vleugelmoer door een moer met teflon lockring. Zo krijg je de haak er zonder tools niet meer af.
