excellent 160W LED on a budget

I am mostly doing videography for classical music performances and I got two of these lights in addition to my tungsten lights. They are very quiet (the fan speed depends on the intensity of the light, but even on full intensity the fan noise is very low). The light output is really nice, wide and very even (no hotspot, no color separation), and with two of these you can get a nice color wash on a wall 10 m wide, 6 m high, if the light is 3-4 m from the wall. They can compete nicely with ambient light, so the room doesn't have to be completely dark, but bear in mind that it is not the strongest light around. I also used them as backlight for lighting the performers, and it looks great on camera. Amber and UV are a bit weak, but usable. Try mixing UV with amber, very interesting results. You can achieve great color rendering by mixing all the colors to a white light, you could even use it as a main light. It's that good. I did not observe any flickering, but buyer beware. Some of the cons: they are very large, bulky (although not very heavy), since they are indeed standard short PAR 64s. They have a wide beam so you won't get the light pillars with them. I measured the power consumption of individual channels and here are my findings: All zero (standby) is 2.5W. I measured all the channels at full and subtracted the 2.5W: Red @ full 20.8W, G 32.2W, B 32.2W, W 32.8W, A 14.5W, UV 27.6W, all @ full 160W. In conclusion, if you're on a tight budget but need a strong and quality light and don't care if it's bulky, buy this one. I got it less than a week ago, so I don't know how it will behave in the long run.

keine Verbesserung zum Vorgänger

Ein insgesamt toller Scheinwerfer, ohne Zweifel. Gute Bedienung, tolle Farbmischung und eine solide Verarbeitung.
Jedoch ist dieser im Vergleich zum älteren Modell CX-3 in seiner Lichtausbeute und in der Farbsättigung nicht so gut. Ich hätte mir zumindest die gleiche Leuchtintensität gewünscht, plus die 2 weiteren Farben.

Nett, aber einige Kleinigkeiten.

Ich nutze diese Scheinwerfer um ein wenig Farbe auf eine Bühne einer Pfarre zu bekommen. Dabei geht es auch darum, dass der Scheinwerfer sehr universell einsetzbar ist.

1. 18 LEDs mal 12W/Led macht 216W -> bei einer maximalen Leistungsaufnahme von 170W... moment....JUP, da ist was faul.

2. 80cm Anschlusskabel ist recht knapp.
3. wenn man RGB voll aufgedreht hat, ändert sich an der Leuchtstärke kaum merkbar etwas wenn man A bzw W hinzugibt. -> relativ egal.
4. Die Menüführung ist nicht sehr übersichtlich, jedoch ausreichend.
5. Bodenstativ ist inklusive und das ist sehr nett.
6. UV ist in Ordnung, jedoch etwas schwach auf der Brust.

Insgesamt ist es ein Scheinwerfer der für wenig Geld doch zumindest funktioniert ;)
Wer sich keinen teuren leisten kann bekommt damit zumindest etwas Licht.

PS: Die Filterrahmen wurden bei meiner Sendung neben die Scheinwerfer gepackt, und waren (sehr) leicht verbogen -> die sind aber auch aus dünnem Blech. Ich brauche sie meist sowieso garnicht.
