Great strings… at first.

These strings sound absolutely perfect and play very nice. However, after a month they start to leave a black residue on my fingers and fretboard which gets increasingly worse. I have several guitars, so a month would equate to about 4-5 hours of playing in my situation (at most). That just won’t do. I clean my strings after every session, so it could be they react with the Fast Fret I always use, but that shouldn’t be an issue. If HB could fix this issue I’d award 5 stars without a doubt, but in the mean time I’ll try the non-coated variant.

Brilliant strings

For a fraction of the price of most name brand strings, you can buy these and they sound and play just as good. They have a nice tone and are well balanced from bass to treble. I would highly recommend these especially if you are in a situation where you need to change strings often.

It's packaged individual. There's no corrosion no black spots. Sounds good and if you change your strings frequently it's cheapest and way better option.

Great strings

Great string for a great price. Tried a few of the different Harley Benton HQS strings and they have all been good. Colour coded like other brands but more subtle colours so your bridge doesn't look like a peacock if the ends stick out. Good sound overall and have lasted a while.
