Super bass, but with minor feature flaws

It's a wonderful bass with a terrific open sound, even with flatwounds on it. Both slap as well as fingered play sound terrific. You need to be vigilant of the string length though, because you need super extra long for the low B. I am not so happy with the way the ends will have to be clipped at the (missing) head, but I can live with it. Nevertheless, I do not regret having bought it for a second. It is light, and easy to set up. I adjusted the truss a slight bit, as it was a little too low to my taste, but that went without much difficulty, except that the additional Allen key is a little too short to do the job. A normal Allen key works wonderfully though.

Hace un mes que he recibido el Boden Prog Bass de 5 cuerdas. Toco en una banda de rock y hasta ahora he estado utilizando un Ferder American Jazz Bass, del cual estoy muy satisfecho. Pero el Strandberg es otra dimensión.

El material y los acabados son de altísima calidad. El diseño y color excelentes. Se nota un Se nota el cuidado en cada uno de los detalles. Y que decir de su peso. La mitad de un bajo convencional.

Pero vamos a lo más importante: el sonido. En esta materia también es excelente, tanto si se usa en modo activo como en pasivo. El volumen que le dan las pastillas es estratosférico. El sonido es limpio y preciso en cualquier cuerda y cualquier posición. Los tres botones de ecualización más los dos de volumen te permiten jugar con una amplia gama de sonidos hasta encontrar el mejor en cada momento.

Por todo ello, mi evaluación no puede ser más que positiva. Este bajo está a la altura de los más profesionales. El precio es elevado, sí. Pero la calidad de lo que recibes lo justifica plenamente. No duden ni un segundo en comprarlo los que estén interesados. Tiene todo lo que deseas y más. Un 10 en todos los aspectos.
