DS2800 a great unit

I was looking for a simple mixer with eight stereo inputs and four stereo outputs. Couldn't find one anywhere until I came across the RX1602 mixer and the DS2800 splitter. They are totally quiet, no hiss or hum that I can hear.

The DS2800 can be used as a mono splitter with eight outputs or as a stereo splitter with four ouputs. This means there is no single stereo main output control, you need to operate two controls, one for left channel and one for right. My solution is to pre-set these and use the input level controls of the RX1602, which usefully have a level and balance control for each input.

The XLR connectors allow for using two (or more!) DS2800 units together, so for example with two of them, you could split the mixer output into four stereo signals.

A very useful piece of kit.

It's fine for what it is, missing clips on XLR doesn't help with reliability.
I think there are better options out there, but this will do the job just fine.

Necesitaba un producto de este tipo ya que me vi rodeado de operadores de cámara que me preguntaban donde conectarse para tener el audio de la mesa de mezclas en un evento público y yo solo tragaba saliva y disimulaba como podía, que mal trago.

Al siguiente acto de este tipo ya decidí que esto no podia volver a pasarme. Lo utilizo en modo mono o de ocho salidas. Los operadores se conectan a una de las salidas y ellos mismos se ajustan su nivel y ya me despreocupo del tema. Tiene un by-pass, pero como la mesa de audio tiene dos salidas, una de ellas se la dedico al DS2800.

Sin problema alguno. Cumple la función para la que se ha diseñado con buena relación precio calidad. Hablando de diseño, creo que se podria mejorar si fuera de tamaño 2U y que todo estuviera en el frontal, ya que si dejas la parte de los conectores accesible, los controles de volumen quedan en la parte posterior y viceversa.

En el rack no lo puedo tener ya que es un riesgo innecesario cuando se conecta gente desconocida o no, sin querer un accidente con algun cable incorrecto. Yo lo he habilitado en la parte inferior de una mesita auxiliar que tengo para esos menesteres y la distancia entre las patas se acerca mucho a las 19" Std. que mide de ancho. A disfrutarla.
