The only headphones I can mix on

I have been collecting headphones for years I own 12 pairs, starting with LCD-X, HD 800S, HD 650, DT 1990, Sundara, Ath-M50X etc. on each of them I tried to mix many times, and I never succeeded, there was always a lot missing for the Mix to be perfect... I decided to give Focal a chance, and MIRACLE, I succeeded. the mix was almost ideal ... yes FOCAL CLEAR MG are very good but they have their weaknesses,
1) VERY VERY IMPORTANT. since this is only 55 ohm headphone ,it will need an amplifier with Low Output Impedance !!!! otherwise it will sound incorrectly, overbassed, with little detail, rare case but it happens
2) there is a small gap in the upper-midrange between 3.5 - 6 Khz. but it doesn't bother me
other than that, they sound like very good monitors with excellent low end

Top of the line headphones.

Exceptional quality, even the slightest detail can be heard. I've send mine to Sonarworks for individual calibration and after that they added a profile for everybody, so enjoy yours with proper calibration! I use them for mixing, mastering, lots of production and recording vocal ideas with them. Every single movement of the DAW parameters is heard and distinguished. You can make such fine decisions and deliver your best work yet.
Without calibration they are closer to how a great pair of monitors sound in a studio room (in my opinion).
For main monitors I use Adam T8V but I mix and master more with the headphones, because it's easier and faster. Translation is perfect every single time. This is a great product overall, I have had them for a long while now and the investment is really worth it.

Very analytical, top quality but not a very "fun" set of headphones

I got these to use them as reference headphones when mixing. For this they work brilliantly.

For casual listening they come across as perhaps a little TOO analytical. They're not as "fun" listening to as some of my other headphones like Audeze LCD-X.

Highly recommended if you need a precise, analytical pair of headphones for studio work.

For casual listening I would recommend testing before buying. You might find these a bit too analytical/clinical compared to other headphones in the same price range. This will be a matter of personal taste of course. These are certainly TOP quality headphones.

Awesome sound, a bit poor material quality for the money

I've been using Focal Clear MG Professional for 1,5 year day by day. First of all, these headphones are the best of the bests in sound, at least for me. Music never sounded so natural and detailed like in these headphones. You can recognize every nuances that you adjust in a mix when you wear them. When everything sounds the most balanced both in volume and in tonal sense in these headphones, then your mix will be killer and so natural.
One thing that's bothering me is when I pick it up I feel that it will fall apart immediately. When the two speakers don't align perfectly and the headphones get a little twist, it feels it will break. Fortunately they don't break but it's an unexpected feeling from such an expensive headphones.
The other thing is that the red leather surfaces are very sensitive, they can get messy and dirty easily if you wear them day by day. The manufacturer gives an extra pair of ear cover foam in the package but the head bound also has this leather material which stays messy anyway.
But if you don't use them every day for hours and hours, probably it won't be a problem for several years.
