Gets (most of) the job done - tho I did expect better from the precise folks at Meinl
rED-I 19.03.2022
The concept is great, and I awaited this item eagerly.
My expectations, being able to:
A. Play handless, of course.
+
B. Play standing upright.

I rated the item 4 on quality as it is quite well-constructed, as I would expect from Meinl. One serious flaw, though - the item's four feet/pads do not all rest on the floor. Fortunately, I usually play and therefore place my stand on a rug, so this construction/design flaw isn't really a biggie for me, but if I were to play on the floor, this thing would probably rock - in a bad way..)

Objective A was accomplished. The stand is resistant enough to sliding and rocking so you can usually get a good seal without the support of your own helping hand. That said, that helping hand does come in handy and produce some extra stability and seal.

Objective B - only partially accomplished. I am 185cm tall, with quite upright posture. I really expected this to accommodate my pretty unremarkable height. Unfortunately, I have to either blow with knees slightly bent to maintain an upright torso - or slouch into the instrument.
Both workable solutions, and appropriate to different playing modes - but I would still much prefer to have the item just extend more and enable a fully upright position, with didge at 30 degrees or so, rather than 75 and up - which is not great for air/energy flow.

Bottom line

I still recommend this, because it does answer both objectives. Could have been executed better - with more stability, and mainly extensibility and height. If there was an alternative item, I'd def examine it.

Plus note that if you're blowing through a heavy instrument, this will take all that weight off your hands, if that is a consideration for you.
