Good but could be better.
we've bought 4 Stairville PAR16's for our studio and use it to light some spots for our live video updates. we also ordered 4 Barndoors from which 2 were faulty and loose. one we managed to fix with pliers but the other one despite all the effort is still loose and doesn't hold to its positions.
the other two are very well built. no problems whatsoever.

Barndoor for Stairvile Par16
Bought these as an add on for my par 16 spots. They are so dinky and beautifully crafted and ideally suited for the solo performer. Their size make them the perfect option for transportation and so easily set up on location.
Being a solo performer in the Jazz, Rat Pack genre, I use them along with a starcloth backdrop to create the the appropriate effect.

they are designed for par 16 lights but the par 16 i own did not fit them until i bent the clip out.
they are good quality and totally worth their money.

Just wanted these for mainly decorative purposes.
Some of the flaps are too loose when new, but can be fixed reasonably easily.
Oddly enough the filter frame with the can comes with a safety cable but not with these...

Good improvment
I bought the same barn door one year ago and they were not strong, but really low end.
The new barn doors are perfect, the doors are stable and there is friction when you open or close them.
The quality-price ratio is amazing

items were good, arrived nice and quick, sadly, one of the flaps on one of the barn door sets was loose and couldn't be tighten by normal methods, i will attempt to correct this soon, the overall build quality is pretty nice and they have a good weight to them also =)
i would recommend these items, but do be wary, as you " may " get one with a loose hinge, i was expecting this could happen when i read through the reviews! :)

Par 16 Barndoors
Purchased these to go on our Par 16's, there perfect for the job.
Our Par 16's aren't originally from thomann but they fit no problem, very good fit.
They do what they say on the tin as it were! Build quality is good to.

Works perfectly with Stairville Par 16's
Purchased these along with the Stairville Par 16's, all fits together nicely.
Well made and not flimsy, I found these actually fit better onto the Par16's than the gel frame's supplied with the units.
