Analog meets the future at its finest

I was really hesitating on this gear, as it was my second hardware thing to my studio, and really expensive to me, but never regretted my decision on this. The sound is really high quality, compression is very soft, creamy or aggressive if needed, it can work hard on your drum bus, or gentle on your master bus. Transformer is adding weight to the sound and the mid-side option really opens up the stereo field of a mix in a way that no plugin does!. And the software integration is just the cherry on the top of the cake. You cannot go wrong with this unit. You will have the convenience of the plugin and yet you are not dependant on your system compatibility over time as this is still a proper analog unit.
The only small downside are little bit wobbly knobs and buttons in the unit that fill a little cheap, but that is the only minus of this amazing unit.

Fantastic sound, crappy build quality

The unit sounds great and glues mixes together like silk. It’s solves that last 20%. Also possible to push into angry territory while still sounding smooth.

The plugin is ok, the integration could be a lot better, but it really does the job and having total recall from Logic is amazing!

Lastly, the build quality… there is no way around this. The potentiometers are terrible. The feel cheap, wibbly wobbly and absolutely not something that would be expected from something in this price range. It just makes the whole unit feel like something that costs 300€ rather than a bit over 3k. Hope the build quality is only limited to the terrible potentiometers and not the internal parts.

Amazing compressor, i use it for mixing and mastering purposes. You can use it subtly or aggressively, depending on your needs and still sounds marvelous. Top product!

Für mich im Insert der SSL FUSION die beste Kombination im Mix und auch Mastering. Von Neutral bis Iron-Farbe auf jedem Genre zu gebrauchen. Die PlugIn-Anbindung ist die Sahne auf der Torte, und für mich die Zukunft bei Hardware im Hybrid-Studio. Absolute Kaufempfehlung !
