Really good EQ at a nice price

With a metal construction, this pedal feels sturdy and of good quality. The sliders feel solid and have a detent in the center (0dB). The leds are not too bright and can be turned on or off using a switch in the bottom of the pedal. Now the most important: sound. With everything at 0dB, it's totally transparent and has unity gain/volume. Each slider has + or - 12dB of gain, including the master slider. The master slider is great to boost the front of an amp or to level the volume coming out of your fx loop. With 10 individual bands, you have more than enough control to shape your tone to your liking. This is a great pedal at a very fair price and is IMO one of the essential pedals to have in your arsenal to shape your tone to your needs.

I bought this eq to help shaping the sound of my old precision bass. I was not willing to buy the MXR 10eq because of the price so I thought this one would do the job. Although the sound is ok with no noticeable noise, I found it really hard to set the faders right. Moving it until you get to 6db up or down, the difference is almost not noticeable, but right after this point the volume jumps exponentially so it´s very hard to fine tune the volume with this equalizer. Besides that it´s an ok pedal, the faders seems a bit fragile and indeed the switch is very close to them.

Very useful pedal that should be owned by anybody playing multiple instruments!

I play elecric gutar, bass and a nylon string with a piezo pickup and this pedal is great for all three!

I combine it with my full pedalbord for the electric and the bass and only use this for the nylon with a bit of reverb. This device is great for really rounding out your sound and basically means you have a boost/amp-feature laden pedal on your chain - it is very useful!

The colour is really cool and the option to have every lider light up is incredibly handy live and at home if playing in the dark.

For the features it has, which is a full 12 band EQ, I find the size of the unit to be perfect as any smaller would have made it quite fiddly, and any larger would have made it cumbersome. The pedal is great for bringing along in a box with your other goodies or in its original case which is sturdy an will last a while being brought around in your backpack.

Do not hesitate - for this price this pedal is very good purchase!

Great EQ pedal that doesn't break the bank

EQ is important to have for pretty much any guitarist and this pedal delivers without breaking the bank.

The frequencies controllable are the same or similar to comparable EQ pedals with fixed frequencies of other brands. It's relatively sturdy (exactly the same as the other JOYO R-series pedals, of which I have a few) and doesn't alter the sound in other ways than you would expect from a EQ pedal.

In my opinion the foot switch has way too much resistance, which means that you need to press it with quite some force for it to work. It's the same switch like in older JOYO R-series pedals like the Tauren (Klon) or Maximum (Fulldrive), while the newer pedals like the King of Kings (KoT) have switches with way less resistance which I prefer greatly.

All in all I can recommend this pedal for sure. The only reason I would upgrade someday to something like the Boss EQ-200 or Source Audio EQ2 is when I need (midi) programmability or presets for my EQ settings.
