Beautiful instrument, very fun to play!

The rajao is a 5-stringed folk instrument from Madeira, Portugal.
The tuning is very similar to the ukulele, just one extra string and certain strings at a lower octave. The strings are also different than the ukulele, giving it a more energetic sound
Now, I don’t have much experience with the rajao but from my experience this instrument is very good quality, and, like any Thomann product, definitely worth the price.
I completely recommend :)

String spacing extrem eng

Für den günstigen Preis scheint mir das Instrument ordentlich verarbeitet (bin kein Fachmann) und ist nett anzusehen. Beim Stimmen bleiben die Saiten allerdings ständig in den Kerben des Kunststoffsattels hängen, was es schwierig macht, das richtige Tuning zu erreichen. Hauptproblem: Der Abstand zwischen den Saiten ist mit 7 mm extrem schmal (bei Ukulelen sind es ca. 9 mm) - damit sind Akkorde schwer zu greifen.
Da mir der Klang gefällt und ich mit einem Slide spielen möchte, behalte ich den Rajao trotzdem.
