Great MIDI-controller to ease the workflow inside a DAW
Fexell 20.03.2020
The appeal for me to get the Arturia MiniLab MK2 was the many knobs, to ease my workflow inside FL Studio, which has been true thus far. It sucks that it isn't "optimized" for FL Studio (no auto-mapping), but binding one of the knobs is as easy as 1-2-3 (and also a problem on FL Studio's side, not Arturia).

The build quality is superb, but the keys could be a tiny bit bigger. I have small hands but still feel like they might be a bit too small. But I might also feel this way since I am a piano player, and this is my first MIDI-keyboard.
The pads are a bit stiff too, but you get used to it pretty quickly.

I'm not a huge fan of the velocity-settings for the keys and pads. Basically you only have a few "preset" options to choose from; not being able to fine tune it with a specific value to achieve the perfect velocity setting.

But then again, it's not an expensive MIDI-controller keyboard, and is definitely worth the price. You get a lot of sounds with Analog Lab to toy with, which is a huge plus.
As a developer/programmer I'm always a huge fan of dark themes, and this "inverted edition" makes me feel right at home. Love it, love it, love it!

S
Midikontrollmed bra anslag och funktioner
Skytten61a 09.08.2023
Köpte min Arturia minilab mk2 och är mycket nöjd med produkten och även med midifunktionerna och även hur bra den integrerar med de olika programvaror som medföljer. Och den är väl värd sitt pris.

Excellent MIDI controller.
Arturo B. Martín 08.04.2022
This is the second MIDI controller I got and I really recommend it. It's excellent to start out and for professionals. The software and plug-ins included make it even a better deal, nearly unbeatable in my opinion.

Pros: It's a nice MIDI controller, it gives everything a home producer needs.

Cons: The pads sensitivity could be better but that probably can be changed withing Arturia MIDI software.

Great included software
LUN4 12.07.2022
This is my first MIDI-controller, so keep that in mind when reading this review. I went with Arturia because of the great software you get with it. You can have hours upon hours of fun with the included sounds/software/plugins. The software sounds great and works very well with the MIDI-controller (which I guess makes sense since both are from Arturia).

The quality of the keys and pads feel like plastic crap, but I guess this is the case for any MIDI-controller/keyboard in this price range. For comparison I tried the similarly priced Akai (MPK Mini MK3 in red) and can say that they both feel like crap. I prefer the Arturia Keys and the Akai pads are marginally better (bit nicer feel/feedback) imo. But as I said: a plastic feel is probably to be expected from products in this price range, so I won't be too critical of it.

All in all I'm happy with this purchase and I feel I made the right choice for my first step in to keys/MIDI.
