This is the best damper I have ever used, it is perfectly designed and engineered and although it doesn't come with any instructions, I asked for some help with this and was sent very promptly
a photo of it fitted, which helped a lot.
The only downside is that it can't be fitted to a 5.5 inch metal snare with a centre reinforcing bead as there is a flat plate that is fitted to the outside and the damper needs to be fitted in the centre of the drum exactly where the bead would be.
However, perhaps Rogers may only expect it to be used on Wooden Drums.

Lo he comprado para restaurar una batería económica con la que empecé a tocar hace ya unos cuantos años, el original de la caja metálica se había pasado de rosca y no se pegaba al parche. He podido ponerlo sin tener que hacer chapuzas ni apaños, y ni que decir tiene, que la calidad es infinitamente mejor que la del original. La calidad de fabricación es muy buena y me ha sido fácil instalarlo en la caja.

Bei Innendämpfern scheiden sich die Geister. Vor 40 Jahren waren die überall , sind aber irgendwann außer Mode gekommen. Wenn man danach googelt, findet man meines Erachtens wenig überzeugende Gründe dagegen. Ich fand sie immer super, insbesondere weil irgendwelche Alterativen auf der Snare immer bem Spiel mit Besen nerven.
Beim Einbau muss man ein bißchen die Hirse anschalten. Ich habe das Fell abgemacht, dann kann man den Dämpfer von außen so halten, dass der Filz mit dem Snare-Rand in einer Ebene liegt.
Ich habe dann das erste Loch gebohrt, die kleine Metallschiene mit einem Loch fixiert, und dann die anderen Löcher gebohrt. Auf diese Weise kann man sicherein, dass die Löcher auch passen.
Ich genieße es, die Snare nach Belieben etwas dämpfen zu können; ich finde solche Dinger super. Von mir gibt es eine klare Empfehlung.
