Great upgrade for a 12" snare

I have bought this S-hoop for a Sonor 12" Prolite snare that originally came with 2.3 mm standard hoop. It is much easier to play rimshots and the cross-stick sound is the best I've ever heard on a 12" snare (which has a small diameter to get a good click sound).
Only 4 stars for quality because my particular part came with minor damage on the inside of the hoop.

Great hoop to consider.

This hoop is worth serious consideration. Combines the properties of triple flanged and die-cast. It darkens the tone of the drum, but doesn't dry it out too much, and gives a great rim shot/click sound. It also seems to hold it's tuning a little better, as it's a lot more robust. Looks great, really neat and satisfying construction, with some weight to it and a nice logo sticker. The best thing though is how it feels when it's struck with rim shots. It honestly feels like hitting butter. The fact that it protects your bearing edges is just a plus; because us drummers really shouldn't be doing that in the first place, right?

Habe den 12" S-Hopp für eine 12" Snare mit Messingkessel bestellt und war angenehm überrascht. Durch den S-Hopp wurde die Stimmstabilität wesentlich verbessert, der Sound wurde voller und etwas tiefer so das ich diese Snare gut als Hauptsnare nutzen kann. Habe noch einen 12" und 10" Holzkessel die ich auch mit S-Hopp bestücken werde.
