Jazz Neck Pickup

This is the perfect pickup for guitarists who prefer a clear sound that retains and transfers all the fine details of their playing. A great companion for all things jazz. This pickup communicates the acoustic components very clearly, especially (but not only!) with semi-acoustic guitars. But the SH2 can also make an excellent combination with neck pickups with a stronger output, giving you the best of both worlds - rock and jazz in one guitar.

Good microphone update

I used this on updating Washburn RS-9800 original washburn korean neck pickup with this.

This really made guitar sound little better, I think it sounds now as good as its possible with that guitar materials.

There was good instructions for mic wirings, I had no problems doing wiring myself.

Can recomment this as neck pickup for any guitar. I have also ESP Horizon which have same pickup. It has also great tone.

When you compare these different guitars cheap and expensive with same microhpone, it really shows that also guitar materials matters a lot to sound.

But this mic works well on both guitars.

Classic pickup for pretty much anything

Jazz can be considered an industry standard and a go-to pickup for many different genres. I didn't give 5 stars due to my own personal references (I'm a Dimarzio guy) but this pickup is a true classic and you should give it a go

Best neck pickup I have in any guitar.

I replaced a Duncan design pickup with the SH2N. It made a huge improvement in sound and the tone is so more versatile and fits all styles I play. Some people have described this as more of a Single coil sounding pickup. That is to some extent true when rolling of the volume on the guitar. At full volume it is just a very good sounding neck humbucker pickup. Slight less bass and the pickup would have been perfect. Still the best neck pickup I have ever used.

A very jazz sound, but clean & light (depending your amp settings).

I split this p'up with a push/pull for a more clean chording & "natural as can be" sound. I am in between acoustic & electric so the transposition between is difficult, but this p'up is helping.

An hours licks & chording last night has helped me realize this p'ups potential, s'pose any splitable p'up would help, or even a single coil guitar like a telecaster, but I need a big bodied guitar like this hollow body Hofner for the comfort of sitting down to perform.

On the "tech" side, I don't know which p'up should be the single coil when I pull my vol knob. The one with screws in or the one w'out? I followed the SD instructions for the wiring and ended up on the p'up w'out the screws in.
