I bought this to drop in to a VHT Special 6 combo (also bought from Thomann) and it has made a massive difference to the amp! The "small amp" boxey sound is all but gone and the tone of the amp is vastly improved too. Highs are nice and crisp without being shrill, Mids are vastly improved and the bottom end is a lot more pronounced but still tight and responsive without being "flappy". It has really added a lot to this little 5W amp.

Came very well packaged indeed, price is great and delivery was fast (all what I have come to expect from Thomann now).

Would definitely recomend if you are looking to give your amp a lease of new life and a nice vintage tone.

hab den Speaker als Replacement in einen VHT Special 6 Combo reingesetzt.

Benutze den Amp ausschließlich als Clean Amp für Treter. Habe ihn hauptsächlich als Back up, zum Proben, und für sehr kleine Gigs.

Der Amp ist wirklich sehr clean, sehr direkt, sehr unkomprimiert auf meinen genutzten Volume Levels, und das Gehäuse ist ziemlich klein. Also auch wenig Bass.

Da kann der Speaker natürlich nichts dazu.
Auch sind Konstruktion und Materialien
beim VHT Combo nicht über die Maßen TOP oder ausgefuchst. Der Speaker allein, kann die Physik des Combos nicht aushebeln...

Aber ich muß einfach mit der Zeit gucken, ob die Kombi für mich passt.

Speaker ist bis heute noch gar nicht richtig eingespielt.

Speaker gefällt mir jedenfalls besser als Original Speaker!!

Aber den VHT Amp über 'n Fender Blues Deluxe laufen lassen (den Fender also nur als Boxengehäuse incl. 1x12" Speaker benutzt) , gefällt mir NOCH besser.

Ist unfähr- ich weiß. ;)
