This cable is a little thinner than other touring grade cat5's I've seen, but for the price it's unbeatable. I had to remove one end as my mixer requires the cable to be wired as a crossover cat5 rather than a 1 to 1 like this is. In the process I was able to see that the RJ45 was well terminated and that the cable uses stranded cable. The drum is well manufactured and certainly up to the job of such a small lightweight cable. The centre termination of the RJ45 is much tidier than a flying lead, but don't forget that it will require a short patch cable to connect to your mixer.

Thin cable but works fine!

This cable is very thin so it's not resistant to damage and I'm afraid that it will break down after several times of curling.
I've noticed that it creates some noise and signal drop out's when accidentally stepping on it.
After all it's a good cable to use in small venues and in permanent installations, but I would recommend to bought something thicker.

Perfect for smaller gigs and things where you need to get in and out in a hurry.

Good quality and a great price and does the job just as well as the £400 types.

We use these for connecting mixing desks to digital stage boxes.

Not had any bad experiences with drop-out or bad connections due to this cable.

Handy even as a cheap backup...
