The Scene Setter 24 is one of the best-selling lighting controllers in the world. With it, up to 24 individual DMX dimmer channels can be controlled by hand. 48 shows can be created and saved from up to 4200 scenes. Flash buttons allow comfortable live control. The additional blackout buttons as well as the fade control complete the device.

Great desk for the small venue and for reliable touring

I use this desk almost exclusively for a touring company for schools. We needed a reliable, quick to set up and easy to use desk. This one give 12/12 or 24 channels, 4 pages of 12 scenes, is extremely quick and easy to set up, reliable, sturdy and is just perfect for the use we put it to.
We run 16 channels of LED and 4 channels of dimmable, leaving 4 channels free for any additional light that we might want to use on the day. Its quick to recall a chase or a scene, easy to edit and so simple to programme that for the price we could not better it.
I would not use it in a large production as it doesn't have the head-room but for schools, small touring companies, and small venues it would be hard to beat.

Guter Einstiegscontroller

Als Controller für den Einstieg recht gut geeignet. Fakt ist aber, dass man als Einsteiger ins Lichtgeschäft schon ein wenig Vorahnung haben sollte. Die Anleitung, die nur in Englisch beiliegt, ist zudem äußerst mager gehalten. Man kann sich aber auch deutsche Anleitungen im Netz besorgen, wenn man nach dem gleichen Gerät bei anderen "Herstellern" sucht z.b. Eurolite.

Der Controller arbeitet mit allen Standard DMX Fixtures zusammen.
Was noch toll wäre, wenn das Gerät insgesamt eine Hintergrundbeleuchtung für die Bedienelemente hätte. Hier muss man wohl doch tiefer in die Tasche greifen.
24 Kanäle erscheinen zunächst recht üppig. Wenn man aber z.B. drei PAR-64 LED Kannen anschließt, von denen jede 7 Kanäle belegt, dann bleiben nur noch drei übrig, so man die Scheinwerfer unabhängig betreiben will.
Es bewährt sich also auch hier, zunächst eine kleine Bedarfsanalyse durchzuführen, bevor man sich hauptsächlich vom Preis leiten läßt.

Alles in allem kann ich aber sagen, dass dieser Controller voll meine Erwartungen erfüllt hast, er macht einen robusten Eindruck, nicht zuletzt durch die abnehmbaren Gummiarmierungen. Und rein optisch macht er auch was her. Wer also einen Controller als Einstieg in die Welt der DMX-Steuerung und Szenen-Programmierung sucht, ist mit diesem Gerät sicherlich nicht schlecht beraten.
