JBL Control 2PS PK Speakers

I bought these speakers as cheap monitors and they are exactly that. The sound is quite bass heavy so don't expect bright audio. they do go quite loud but probably not loud enough for a party.

The speakers are ok for listening to CDs on or streaming videos but don't expect to be able to mix professionally on these things. I personally use them as every day use speakers for computer games, very rough mixes etc.

The price is ok but I think with hindsight I wouldn't choose these. I think I'd probably save the money for a decent set of monitors. These speakers are good if you're testing tracks or sounds on them which you don't dare put through your expensive monitors in case they get damaged.

Also, and most importantly for me the first set I had were faulty which wasn't thomann's fault. there was an electrical fault on one of the speakers and it had constant noise coming out of it. the replacement pair I greceived are better but they pick up hard drive noise from my PC which is bizarre as they are plugged into an audio device, not directly into my PC. I tried different types of cables but nothing worked. I have to turn the volume dial on the side to a position with the least noise on the speakers. However, if I plug an ipod directly into them there is not noise at all. It seems like these speakers have issues when connected to a computer.

To summarise these JBLs are moderately priced, average speakers which are quite bassy and pick up electrical noise from a PC.

Good sound

These are the powered version of the industry standard control 1. Excellent value and a very clear sound. I did have trouble with the ball and socket wall mount, no amount of tightening could stop it slipping unfortunately, needed extra support in the end to get the right angle.

belles, pratiques, petites et étonnantes

Discrets et malgré tout élégants, ces haut-parleurs JBL ont des performances audio étonnantes malgré leurs tailles: large bande passante, qualité de basse et bel équilibre spectral. Bien emballées l'enceinte active et la passive ont des accessoires de qualité, des protèges membranes démontables et des attaches pour les suspendre, bref, des haut-parleurs idéals pour des installations sonores.
Petit regret: uniquement une connectique RCA pour l'arrivée d'un signal stéréo.

Druckvolle Kleinlautsprecher für die Wohnzimmerbeschallung

Nachdem ich diese Lautsprecher nun seit etwa einem Monat verwende, möchte ich mir ein erstes Urteil erlauben:
Für meinen kleinen, studentischen Geldbeutel erschienen mir diese Aktivboxen als eine sehr gute Möglichkeit, da ich bei ihnen, im Gegensatz zu Passivboxen auf den Kauf eines Vorverstärkers verzichten konnte, ohne damit Einbußen in der Klangqualität zu riskieren. Auch der Kauf eines Subwoofers für druckvollere Bässe war für meinen Bedarf nicht notwendig; die JBL-Boxen machen ihrem Ruf alle Ehre und übertragen die Tiefen sehr gut. Für die Jazz- und Rockaufnahmen, die ich leidenschaftlich gerne höre, ist das perfekt; für meine andere Leidenschaft, orchestrale Werke (von Bach über Beethoven, Brahms, Berg und Bartók, bis hin zu Britten), sind die Bässe fast schon etwas zu aufdringlich. Die XLR-, Klinken- und Cinch-Anschlüsse bieten viele Anschlussmöglichkeiten.
Schade ist allerdings, dass die Kabel, die von der Master- zur Slave-Box führen, über Klemmanschlüsse verbunden werden. Hier sehe ich eine gewisse Verschleißgefahr gegeben, die bei der Verwendung von Klinken- oder Cinch-Anschlüssen gelindert werden könnte. Wandhalterungen müssen überdies separat dazugekauft werden.
Für meinen Bedarf bieten diese Boxen dennoch alles, was ich mir erhofft hatte und sind dabei noch eine preisgünstige Variante.
