Outstanding tone

This amp is the best valve head I've ever heard. It's so harmonically rich and thick. The low end resonance knobs on the back make the tone sound massive and they give the notes punch and girth. Lot's of clean headroom on channel one, tight and focused rhythm channel and a searing lead channel that will blow you away. Backing the gain down provides a nice crisp crunch tone and channel one works well with overdrive pedals for sweet bluesy tones. Series effects loop and the construction of the amp is excellent.

Clean?good, but since im a metal guy, not using it

crunch: dry and clear, actually it's already some other amp's lead channel

lead: full saturation, higain channel, do not dial too much gain or youll get muddy distortion unless you want to go extreme style. the sound is very beefy and powerful

three channel are all good, worth the money, beat those expensive boutique amp

excellent Ampli son parfait Van Halen

Pour tout ceux qui recherchent le son VAN HALEN. On ne cherche pas plus loin!! tout les systèmes à peu près , qui ne sont jamais parfait et c'est jamais ça !! , Avec cet ampli , on y est , bien sur avec le 4x16 EVH.. Le SON est exactement là,, il faut juste faire fonctionner ses oreilles pour régler la base...... En plus cet Ampli permet de très grosses saturations pour ceux qui aiment les 7 cordes et le Death Métal là on obtient le son Gojira sans aucun soucis ... Ampli aux performances exceptionnelles.. et aux capacités très vastes et larges pour les styles Blues , Rock, HardRock, Métal , Death, Grunge, Gothique, Trash, et bien sur les SON VAN HALEN si on veut !! Bref c'est la référence actuelle pour tout ce type de style .. Et ça sonne grave .. Pour info j'ai 2 engl powerball, un Diezel Diezel Herbert KT77 MKIII.. Bon le EVH 5150 tient vraiment la route !! c'est une bête sur scène . Et en répétition .
Merci aussi à Thomann , qui ont été exemplaires sur un petit soucis de lampes .. Ils sont vraiment hyper pro. Et hyper réactifs ... un sans faute et mieux que ça !

Ich bin auf der Suche nach einem Dreikanaler, der einen tollen cleanen Kanal, einen geilen highgainigen Rythmus- und einen Highgain-Solokanal hat. Die Sounds, die der 5150 el34 liefert, sind alle auf hohem, anspruchsvollen Niveau. Besonders der Cleanchannel konnte mich hier begeistern. Empress-Delay in den Signalweg eingestöpselt und eine Prise Kompressor drauf und : Voila!!! Die Sonne geht auf. Kaufempfehlung! Der Rythmuschannel hat viel weniger Gain als der Leadkanal und ist auch im Mittenbild dicker und breiter aufgestellt als der Leadchannel. Diese beiden sind nicht identisch (wenn das jemand suchen sollte). Gain hatte ich am Anschlag im 2. Kanal und mir reichte es so gerade aus, was aber durchaus sinnvoll ist, denn es soll ja alles noch differenzierbar sein, was man so spielt. Der Leadkanal ist mit einer ordentlichen Portion Gain ausgestattet, jedoch ist die Rauschentwicklung ab 13:00 Uhr-Stellung doch schon enorm. Ein Noisegate wäre sicherlich empfehlenswert. Letzteres war für mich auch ausschlaggebend dafür, dass ich mich gegen den Amp entschieden habe. Hinzu kommt noch, dass der Amp LAUT ist. Ich liebe hundert Watt Heads und mag es auch sehr gerne richtig laut, auch zu Hause im Wohnzimmer, aber der Bruder hier macht richtig ALARM!
Fazit: toller Amp, danke hervorragender Sounds, aber zu viel Rauschen im Leadkanal und, ich glaube ich werde alt, er war mir einfach viel zu LAUT!
