Having a chrome drum kit, it only made sense to go for the flashiest, chromiest head on the market! Having had problems with Remo products arriving warped in the past, I was really pleased to see this turning up with no such issues. The chrome finish is flawless and super reflective, which looks great under stage lights.

Being single ply means a full, resonant sound- I have mine ported, with a felt strip underneath to help control it slightly and add a bit more attack.

There are undoubtedly better sounding resonant heads on the market- I would probably recommend changing out for a studio session- but for a gigging kit these do the job, and make a great visual impact.

Nice gimmick

Bought this for use as a bass drum reso, could have settled for standard black or hipster white (and had infinitely more selections to choose from) but the inner glam rocker in me thought this would be too cool to pass up.

Sound is ok, but the visual effect when the bass is smacked from the driver's seat is an interesting diversion for the audience when they tire of looking at the guitarists wailing away all night...

Remo 24" Starfire soundaa samalta, kuin Remon normi resokalvo. Todella näyttävän näköinen kalvo. Pienet mahdolliset naarmutkaan eivät näy juurikaan, vaikka kalvoon niitä käytössä ilmaantuukin väkisin. Valoteknikkokin tykkäävät, heijastaa mukavasti valoja.

hab das starfire mirror für meine 24x14 bd (catalina mirror)
gekauft. als resonanzfell verleiht dieses fell kurzen bassdrums einen weichen klang.beim stimmen ist allerdings etwas feinarbeit gefragt da sich dieses fell leicht verzieht wenn mann es nicht exakt auf den kessel bringt und darauf achtet das der bd spannreifen sauber ist wie auch stimmschrauben sauber angesetzt sein sollten.
ich selbst bin total begeistert vom sound nachdem ich das orginal gretschresonanzfell ausgewechselt habe und den sonitus kicker wieder entfernt habe.
fazit;ein optisch und qualitativ hochwertiges fell das jeden cent wert ist und bei meinem anderen set auch gekauft wird wenn die neubefellung ansteht.
